Growth in outdoor projector enclosures 2015.
The started off with several audio visual installer’s needing a solution to deploy projectors outdoors and in unforgiving weather. Previous solutions on the market had hefty price tags, limiting the projectors to ones that had lots of funding. Now ProEnc offered a cost effective solution for either IP65 or NEMA 4X projector enclosures.
Pricing of outdoor projector enclosures.
ProEnc have a background in creating a product and offering to the market at a very affordable price and this is the business model they used currently. When competitors are offering comparable solutions (apple for apples) ProEnc’s solution came in at $2K whilst their nearest competitor was quoting $18K for the same solution, so there is a huge saving in purchasing from ProEnc rather than the competition.
Benefits of dealing direct with ProEnc.
Unlike some of the other manufacturers, ProEnc currently do not sell through distribution, so if a price is required quickly, ProEnc can provide this normally a written quotation takes no more than 14 hours, even for custom solution. We have heard of some suppliers telling customers they will get a quote to them in 3-5 working days! Because the reseller has to go back to the manufacturer and clarify some points, dealing direct with a manufacturer saves you money and time.
Lead time is another ProEnc advantage.
This resulted in ProEnc picking up 4 projects in December that had a total value of US$45,173, because ProEnc is fairly flexible in their manufacturing and can offer custom units at an expedited price. ProEnc won 1 large order up for custom outdoor projector enclosure in Australia, 1 order in the UK and 2 orders in America.
Having spoken to competitors the customers contacted ProEnc, to find that they could help them and ProEnc provided the outdoor projector enclosures on time and to budget, as ProEnc have all components in stock at any time. 1 competitor had told the UK client that no one could make a projector enclosure in 2 weeks; however ProEnc had standard, completed projector housings in stock and shipped 1 unit to them immediately.
ProEnc’s outdoor projector enclosures in different material.
Throughout the year the material has been Zintec, however they had a requirement for an application in a high salt air environment. As everyone knows, salt air will corrode mild steel and eventually start to rust, so the solution was to offer stainless steel solution. The stainless steel projector enclosures were all custom sizes to accommodate Canon REALiS WUX400ST projectors. With ProEnc’s owners being experienced sheet metal engineers they knew how to work with different materials and the advantages and disadvantages were discussed with the client. The truth is the high Chromium content of stainless steel is a rust inhibitor, making the stainless steel outdoor projector enclosures the perfect solution for this corrosive application.
